Residency Program in General Preventive Medicine and Public Health

Application Information

Basic requirements for admission include:

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school (United States, accredited Canadian programs, or equivalent as outlined by ACGME)
  • Completion of at least one year of post-graduate medical training in an ACGME-approved clinical training program in the United States or Canada

Applications should be submitted in the fall of the year preceding enrollment; supporting materials should be received by March 1. Applications received after this date will be considered on a space-available basis.

Practicum year only

A 12-month practicum may be available to physicians who already hold an MPH degree in epidemiology or health management and policy. Priority is given to physicians who obtained their MPH from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
