Distance Learning Technical Information
You will need a computer with high speed connection (DSL or higher), speakers or headphones, and an internet browser. Use of Microsoft Internet Explorer is strongly recommended. For ease of viewing MI-CPHP online courses and webcasts, make sure your computer has Windows Media Player and Adobe Flash Player installed. In some cases, you will need RealPlayer and Adobe Acrobat Reader. All are available as free downloads from the web. Note: a MI-CPHP webcast or online course will provide specific requirements in its course description.
Live & Archived Webcasts using Mediasite Technology
Recent live and archived webcasts available through the MI-CPHP Training Gateway make use of a technology called Mediasite that delivers streaming video, audio and visual aids (slides) synchronized as the presenter speaks. Click here for specific system requirements and trouble-shooting information.
Online Courses
All online courses use the Adobe Flash Player, which helps integrate video into web pages. Please make sure you have Flash Player, version 7 or higher, installed on your computer.
